Hydraulic Breaker Accumulator & Diaphragm Assembly

Forged High-Pressure Shell | Premium HNBR Diaphragm | 100% N2 Sealed

The SLYM Hydraulic Breaker Accumulator Assembly absorbs peak recoil pressure spikes to protect carrier hydraulics while releasing stored kinetic energy on the downstroke to boost impact Joules. Forged from high-tensile alloy steel and fitted with fatigue-resistant HNBR/Viton® elastomeric diaphragms, SLYM accumulators ensure zero gas leakage and maximum recoil damping across extreme quarrying and demolition conditions.

1. Pressure Surge Protection: Eliminates hydraulic shock waves, preventing carrier pump and main hose fatigue.
2. Impact Energy Boosting: Supplements hydraulic flow on piston downstroke for maximum fracturing force.
3. High-Temp Elastomers: Diaphragms withstand continuous oil temperatures up to 120°C.

100% interchangeable replacement for Furukawa, Soosan, Montabert, and major global brands. Click "Inquire Now" for direct factory wholesale pricing!

Kinetic Damping & Energy Boost

MechanismHydraulic breaker accumulators use a sealed gas-oil separation chamber divided by a high-strength elastomeric diaphragm. The top chamber contains compressed Nitrogen (N₂), while the lower chamber connects directly to the high-pressure oil circuit.

[Upstroke / Return Phase]   --> High-pressure oil compresses N₂ gas via diaphragm (Stores Potential Energy)

[Downstroke / Impact Phase] --> Compressed N2 expands rapidly, pushing oil back into cylinder (Boosts Impact Joules)

1. Pressure Spike Absorption: During high-frequency spool switching, returning fluid spikes are absorbed by the gas cushion, shielding excavator pumps, distributor valves, and hydraulic hoses from destructive pressure surges.

2. Impact Force Acceleration: On piston downstroke, the expanding N₂ volume assists fluid delivery, increasing piston kinetic velocity (v) and single-impact energy (E =½mv²).

Engineering Quality & Material Specifications

  • Precision Forged Steel Body: Shells are forged from high-density alloy steel (40Cr / 42CrMo), eliminating casting porosity and rated to withstand peak surge pressures up to 35 MPa.

  • Advanced Elastomeric Diaphragms: Molded from imported Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) or high-temp Viton®, delivering up to 2× the flex-fatigue life of standard nitrile rubber.

  • Stainless Steel N₂ Charging Valve: High-pressure needle-valve design fitted with dual sealing rings and protective brass caps to prevent gas seepage.

Q1: Why are my excavator hydraulic hoses violently jumping and shaking during breaker operation?

A: Violent hose jumping (hydraulic surge) is the classic symptom of accumulator diaphragm rupture or total Nitrogen (N₂) pressure loss. Without a compressed gas cushion to absorb fluid pulses during piston reversal, peak pressure shockwaves bounce back directly into the excavator’s hydraulic lines and main pump. Inspect the accumulator diaphragm immediately to prevent pump cavitation and hose failure.

Q2: What happens if the Nitrogen gas pressure in the accumulator is charged too high?

A: Over-charging N₂ pressure forces the rubber diaphragm to pin against the bottom oil inlet. When this happens, hydraulic fluid cannot enter the accumulator chamber during the piston upstroke. The piston encounters excessive resistance, causing sluggish operation, reduced striking frequency (BPM), or a complete refusal to strike. Always charge N₂ strictly to manufacturer pressure specifications.

Q3: Why MUST I only use pure Nitrogen (N₂) and NEVER compressed air or Oxygen?

A: CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: Accumulator chambers must be charged ONLY with pure industrial Nitrogen (N₂ ≥ 99.5%). Never use oxygen, shop air, or flammable gases. Under high compression and elevated oil temperatures (>80℃), mixing oxygen or air with atomized hydraulic oil vapor creates a combustion reaction (diesel effect), risking a catastrophic accumulator explosion.

Q4: How do I know if hydraulic oil has bypassed into the accumulator nitrogen chamber?

A: Remove the protective cap on the top N₂ charging valve and briefly depress the valve pin. If hydraulic oil spurts out along with gas, the internal elastomeric diaphragm has ruptured or perforated, allowing oil and gas to mix. The accumulator assembly must be disassembled and fitted with a new SLYM replacement diaphragm.

Q5: How do I choose between HNBR and Viton® replacement diaphragms?

A: Choose HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) for general demolition and cold-weather operation, as it offers superior tear resistance and dynamic flexing at standard temperatures. Choose Viton® for continuous, heavy-duty quarry applications where hydraulic oil temperatures regularly exceed 100°C, as Viton® maintains elastomeric stability under extreme heat.
